This little smiling boy was 8 days old when we were shooting and he didn’t want to get settled at all. But once he did, he was a magical model with his smiley or mysterious face. Congratulations to his happy parents
One could say that it wasn’t my first meeting with Aarav as I met him when he was in his mum’s belly on a photo session last year. This time I saw him first as he entered the party room holding his parents hands – and he was dancing. He just couldn’t stop bouncing and I couldn’t stop giggling watching him. The whole party was lots of fun, children and adults playing games, dancing with apples etc. And after a good meal everyone hit the dance floor, where I realized where Aarav got his dancing skills. His mum just couldn’t stop dancing , the same as Aarav earlier.

I realised recently that I work too much and take far too many pictures of children other than my own. So my plan for this morning was to go to DIFC where I thought the mimosa would be blooming, and take photos of my girls. But by the time we arrived there (8:30) it was so hot that I only took a few photos outside and decided to not fight with twinscles and find some good place to eat. We went through 4 different places and none of them seemed to be right for me – even though girls were grumbling “mummy cookie” and Nick’s belly was making rumbling noises I kept searching. When we stepped into mOre I knew it was worth the search. I had heard about this restaurant but somehow never been there. It’s a beautiful place, and the food is ridiculously delicious. Eggs benedict and strawberry ice cream. Perfect breakfast. We’ll be coming back again.

Charlotte is the ultimate urban girl.
Her parents are from Hong Kong and she was born in Dubai. She doesn’t enjoy grass and prefers steady paved areas (where the grass doesn’t attack her)
And most of all she loves AC. But who doesn’t? It’s getting so hot!

This session was a gift to Charlotte from her aunty while Charlotte and her parents came to Dubai on holiday. It was early on a sticky morning and almost no one was interested in smiling but we made it through! Watch this space for more photos of Aunty Cate as another baby is on the way . . .
